Flank (80-83), was a rather experimental (well, then and for us anyway) collective of people trying to lay off musical traditions as we learned them, and try to find uncompromized new ways of making music with which we were (in any case at start) unfamiliar with. No need to say it was a band full of tension & testosteron, which expressed itself on- and offstage, and might also explain its rather short life. Musically it was more or less placed in the 'ULTRA' movement happening in Amsterdam at that time.
